D!ck In A Box

Sometimes I choose a polish purely for the name. This is one of them. Yah know, since I'm a super mature adult! I lucked out because it's also freaking awesome. D!ck In A Box by Girly Bits is from the 2013 fall collection. It was inspired by Saturday Night Live (uh duh lol). It is a deep charcoal grey with scattered halo. I only had to use two coats and topped it with my Sally Hansen Inta-Dri.

A Blinding Polish and Nail Water Decals

I have an amazing polish to show off today. China Glaze Glistening Snow from the 2012 Holiday collection. This polish blinded me! It has so much spakly goodness with very fine silver holo glitter. I used three coats because there can be some bald spots on the first coat.
I also experimented with some water decals from RLR Creations which you can check out at http://www.etsy.com/shop/RLRCreationsNailArt. These were incredibly easy to use. All you have to do is cut out the picture  you want and then set it in water for 10-15 seconds. It slides off easily and then you place it on your nail. Now I got my nail slightly wet. That way I could slide the image around until I had it placed in the right spot. I let it dry and then I used my usual top coat, Sally Hansen Insta-Dry. The image lasted two days (well until I changed my polish, sorry no after picture). The image is slightly hard to see but I think this is due to the polish being so bright.
Now for someone who cannot stamp to save my life these nail decals are a great way to add some fun to my nails! I recommend!! RLR has a great selection.

Lush Lacquer Party Rockin'

I did some more layering, this time using Lush Lacquers Party Rockin'. First I used 2 coats of Hits Zeus (I haven't used it since the first time I received and it sure became thick and goopy) and topped that with 1 coat of Party Rockin' (anyone else now have that song from LMFAO stuck in their head?). As you can see from the pictures below the glitter is a variety of colors and shapes. It's like I threw confetti on my hands.

Up Close and Personal

The glitter was very easy to spread and dried pretty fast. I topped everything off with one coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast. It was nice and smooth after that. I'm glad I used it over a grayish/black because the colors really popped!

Floam....And Welcome!!

First of all......holy shit!!! Welcome new followers. What an awesome thing to wake up to. I've been reading your responses to the question 'what is your favorite nail polish' and have seen this color come up a new times. Floam was created by Nail-Venturous (currently her shop is closed). It is a neon blue/yellow/green glitter in a clear base. It's supposed to look like.....well duh floam!!

I actually tried to wear this a few weeks ago. I used the polish alone and before I could take pictures I peeled it off (bad, bad yes I know). So this time I used 2 coats of Floam over 1 coat of China Glaze DV8. I topped everything off with Cult Nails Wicked Fast.
Floam is very thick and dries fast. I think this makes it hard to work with. Is it worth it? Yeah, when I wore it the first time I received a ton of compliments. It seems to make people reminiscence to the 90's lol.

Just be patient while working with it! A ton of different combinations are possible with this color. Oh and PS: I'm scared to take this one off!

Pretty and Polished Custom!!

A while back I ordered from Pretty and Polished. A color was missing from order. Wasn't a big deal. When my polish did arrive Chels included a custom polish!! I was shocked by the gesture. It made my day:) Check out the layering I did below.

I used 2 coats of China Glaze Virtual Violet and 2 coats of the custom Pretty and Polished (it doesn't have a name). It's like she read my mind on what I like in a nail polish color. I see silver, blue and purple!!

Until next time,

PS: Thank you Chels!!

Color Club Revvvolution

Right after I put this sucker on I drooled a little...a black holo!! This came out in the Femme Fatale collection for spring 2009. Application was flawless. I don't have many other words for this polish except for PERFECT:)
Please excuse the tip wear. I took these pictures after a full day work.

I have been swatching my nails but they were in a hairy place but now things are looking up and I'll be posting more:)

China Glaze Cosmic

This picture was taken a few weeks ago so excuse the cuticles. I think I was having a bad day at work lol. China Glaze Cosmic is a wonderful black base with silver and holo glitter. This formula was thick but worth working with it.
This may sound incredibly corny but I stare at this polish the same way I stare at the sky!

I Finally Did It!!!!

So last week I went on a search on Ebay for some of the China Glaze OMG colors. I knew that these suckers can go for 10-20$. I didn't care! So I ordered three of them that I really liked in swatch pictures. I grabbed up DV8, LOL, and QT. Here we have DV8. It's a gorgeous, lighter, holographic blue. Can you see the rainbow? I took a bunch of pictures to try and grab the awesomeness of this color!!

Hopefully you guys already have this color or it's on your wish list. If you have the Tronica collection...This does not compare to that!

Another Tronica.....

One thing I like about the China Glaze Tronica collection is that when I need to do a fast, quick drying manicure, I can count on these colors. Here I have Hyper Haute. I really enjoy this raspberry pink color. I'm usually really picky about my pinks and don't wear them to often. I do like the 'halo' finish. Of course I know the big complaint is that these are not true halos. I finally caved and bought DV8, QT, and LOL from the OMG collection so I can experience a true halo. They go for a nice little penny on eBay. I'm really excited though and I plan on doing comparisons.

On another note I'd like to explain my on how I will continue to do my blog posts. I don't buy whole collections, only the colors I like. I have no order on the colors I wear. I just pick whatever I feel like for the day. So you'll see stuff from old collections and new. Of course I don't plan on repeat colors:)

Digital Dawn

Oh boy, it has been an interesting week so far. I was doing a really good job posting at least once a day or every other day. Oh, but I had to go to the hospital this week. Has everyone heard that kidney stones are more painful than child birth? Well they freaking hurt. It's kind of funny because I was in a car accident two and half weeks ago. I rolled my car twice. I was really sore and had a lot of pain on my left side (that what side of my body slammed into the door). Well, about a week and half later I was having this extreme pain on my right side. I contributed it to the car accident and put up with it for over a week before going to the ER. Low and behold I was the proud new owner of a kidney stone!! Anyways I am home now and am excited to post again.

This manicure was something I did before i went to the hospital. It is Digital Dawn from the new Tronica collection by China Glaze.

I was surprised I like this color. I reminded me of really soft sand. Like I said before with the other Tronica colors, this dries extremely fast! Which is something I think we all love. This only needed two coats and I topped with China Glaze Fast Forward.

Tronica!!!!

Okay, first I have to give props to my local Sally's. I went in to get some China Glaze Fast Forward and randomly asked if they had the Tronica collection in yet. The girl that helped me...WONDERFUL...she took me to the back room and let me pick out the colors I wanted. How nice was that. I think I said 'thank you' a million times. So lets get to a couple colors.

The first 3 fingers I have on Techo Teal, with Virtual Violet on my pointer
I was too excited to do just one color lol:)

Here is just another shot I took

Here is another angle I took to show off the colors.

I like the picture above because it shows all the different colors in the bottle.
I don't have the China Glaze OMG collection to compare these to. I've tried looking on ebay for them but they seem to be going for 15-20$ a bottle and I've even seen the whole collection going for 150-180$. Eeeekkkk. We'll see. I really liked the formula on the Tronica collection. It only took two coat to be opaque and it dried fast. I mean crazy fast, less than ten minutes. I can't wait to try the rest!!
