What I Did For Halloween!!

So I kept it simple for my Halloween manicure. I decided to use Pretty and Polished Jack O Lantern. A yellow base with different sized orange glitter. The consistency was a little thick so I only used two coats and topped it with Seche Vite. I actually still have it on and it hasn't chipped a bit! Oh yeah...It glows in the freakin' dark!! Sorry for not having a pic of it glowing but I couldn't figure out how to take it....

Never disappointed when I order from Chels!

Pretty and Polished Phoenix

Do you ever buy a polish and it looks just 'okay' in the bottle. This happened with me and Pretty and Polished Phoenix. Now it looks pretty in the bottle but damn! It looks awesome on the nails!! Blew my freakin' mind. Phoenix has an orange tint with small yellow, orange, and red glitters. Floating throughout you'll also see red hexagonal glitter.

I did two layers over China Glaze Riveting (which is great also and I need to wear it alone so I can do a proper review).

Up Close and Personal

Pretty and Polished has yet to let me down! Chels does great work. You can check her store out on Etsy here. Currently she is out of stock but follow her on FB for updates.

Dandy Nails Like Disco Lemonade

I finally made my first Dandy Nail purchase a few weeks ago and I finally got around to swatching one of them. Like Disco Lemonade (I love the name) is a light green base with green, black (square), and orange glitter. I layered two coats over Man Glaze Nawsome Sauce. Are you guys sensing a pattern? I use matte polish a lot when I layer because it dries fast and I always end up painting my nails at night when I'm really tired.

Disco Lemonade did not give me any problems at all! This glitter polish went on extremely smooth. I used two coats of SV to top everything off (I could have gotten away with just one coat).

Up close and personal!

The store is currently sold out but look for updates on Dandy Nails FB page!

Lacquistry Golf Socks

How many layers can one person wear on their nails......11? That's what is going on here!
Yesterday I did a post on Dollish Polish Barry. I decided to layer Lacquistry Golf Socks over it. I think I was being lazy and didn't want to do the process of removing the glitter polish! I added three coats of Golf Socks. It's a really cool polish. Look at all that glitter.

Ok, time for bed since I'm working the night shift!!

Halloween Came A Little Early

I picked up Pumpkin Spice by Sally Hansen when I saw it on a new display at my local Walgreens. Pumpkin Spice has a black base with small orange glitter. In the bottle this reminded me of China Glaze Ick-A-Body that came out last Halloween. Spice is not as dense as Ick-A-Body.

I actually layered this over Sally Hansen Black Out. I used one coat of that and two coats of Spice. Topped with SV (duh lol). I need to try out some other topcoats.

I've been keeping my eye out for other Sally Hansen displays at more of my local Walgreens. I really want to try and find Midnight Sky.

Zoya Poppy

So I went to get my nails done today and chose the color Poppy from Zoya. It's a different color for me. I thought it was very springy. Love my cuticles? LOL.

China Glaze Life Preserver

Life Preserver

This is a really pretty orange. Not to 'in your face'. I've used a couple colors from the Anchors away collection and one thing I have noticed is that the formula seems a little thick. I have shaky hands so it makes it a little hard to work with. Please excuse my cuticle mess that I have going on. My hands get so dry from the winter and also being a server (washing my hands all the time). I'm trying to make sure I use hand lotion throughout the day. Here is my favorite.
I can't stand those hand lotions that make me feel like I just put oil all over my hands.
