Weather Inspired Mani.....

Yep so this happened......

I took this yesterday morning after I got off work....we got 5 more inches after that.
So I busted out a little Manglaze and a smidge of Lacquistry Winter No. 2. for this mani below.
I bought this sucker back in 2013....I feel like I should be shamed for not using it till now.

This polish is made up of all kinds of glitter shapes: shreds, hexes, bars and squares. Blue/white/silver is the color theme.
I did one layer of Manglaze Mayo and one layer of Winter No. 2. I topped everything off with Girly Bits Glitter Glaze (review to come soon). Winter No. 2 is really easy to use and the glitter spread out nicely. All pictures were taken with artificial light since the sun doesn't exist in Iowa.

My Surgery Day Manicure!

So yesterday I ended up having outpatient surgery. I had a kidney stone that would not pass. So my Doc had to scoop it out. Oh, and yes, as I'm writing this I'm slightly doped up lol.
I didn't purposely paint my nails for the surgery. I did them Wednesday night and found out they could fit me in for my surgery Thursday morning.

I used one coat of my favorite matte polish: Man Glaze Royal Matterimoaning, an awesome sapphire blue.

I then used two coats of Lynnderella Once In A Blue Rune. This color came out in her Halloween collection and can be found on ebay. The glitter was very easy to spread and work with.

Rune has cobalt holographic glitter with a hint of deep purple glitter. You can see all the different sizes and colors of glitter in the picture below.

Ok, well I think I'm going to take a nap now. Hope you enjoyed!

You Must Be Pretty Special If I Bought You!

I hardly buy pink polish. There's something about it that just turns me off (I'm the same way with red polish). Occasionally I'll find something that stands out and I have to have it! Pretty & Polished Punk'd Up Betty is one of them. It is a combination of black (2 kinds), pink (2 kinds), and some white glitter (1 kind) in a clear base. There are little surprises of a large satin glitter. You can see it in the bottle shot.
AMAZING! I like to layer glitter polishes over a solid color because I feel like it is easier to take off and it can add some depth. Well I was stuck. I couldn't think of anything to layer with Betty. Finally it hit me...I went to my ManGlaze stash and busted out Lesbi-Honest (love the name and love the art on the bottle lol). I did one layer of Lesbi and two coats of Betty. I think this combination turned out great! Lesbi really made the glitter in Betty pop!
Up close and personal
Betty was extremely easy to work with. Not to thick and the glitter spread evenly. I topped everything off with Gelous and CG Fast Forward. My nails were nice and smooth!
Bottle Shot!
I love P&P! She comes out with some great polishes and shipping is always fast. I'm so happy she will be working with Llarowe!

First Experience: Rainbow Honey

Today has been one of the longest days of my life. I took my RN boards. I was one of the lucky ones that got to answer 240 questions! Yay! It was tremendous (sarcasm). Afterwards I went and bought a good amount of nail polish:) Made me feel a little better.
So I received my first Rainbow Honey polish a few days ago. I only ordered A Little Kindness from her Equestria Collection. This is my first polish from Rainbow Honey so I felt like I was dipping my toe in the water, checkin' things out, it's my feeler polish, etc.
I believe these polishes were inspired by different My Little Ponies. A Little Kindness is a light soft yellow base with iridescent pink shimmer. Rose, white, gold, and small green glitter are spread throughout.

Ok, so it cracks me up the combination I decided to use. Here we have this innocent, fun, light glitter inspired by a freakin' little pony and I go and layer it over ManGlaze Fuggen Ugly. It just seems....a little wrong lol! But I think it turned out pretty awesome.

I did one layer of A Little Kindness over one layer of Fuggen Ugly. Kindness was so easy to apply and it dried quickly. I love the bottle and I really like the design of her label. It's so unique.
I definitely would like to order some more Rainbow Honey at some point. The color combinations I've been seeing online are amazing!

Dandy Nails Like Disco Lemonade

I finally made my first Dandy Nail purchase a few weeks ago and I finally got around to swatching one of them. Like Disco Lemonade (I love the name) is a light green base with green, black (square), and orange glitter. I layered two coats over Man Glaze Nawsome Sauce. Are you guys sensing a pattern? I use matte polish a lot when I layer because it dries fast and I always end up painting my nails at night when I'm really tired.

Disco Lemonade did not give me any problems at all! This glitter polish went on extremely smooth. I used two coats of SV to top everything off (I could have gotten away with just one coat).

Up close and personal!

The store is currently sold out but look for updates on Dandy Nails FB page!

What My Nails Look Like After Work! And Sneeze Breeze!!

I took this photo after a long day at work. Let me remind you that I'm a server...chipped manicure-check, dry cuticles-check, overall disaster-check. I've been wanting to order TheHungryAsian Sneeze Breeze for some time now but I kept hesitating. I took the plunge and ordered a mini bottle. It is a matte blue and black glitter in a clear base. I'm a sucker for anything matte. I put one coat over ManGlaze Fuggen' Ugly. I topped it with SV (you can see the shrinkage).

I think there could be some interesting combinations with this polish.

Maisie Shine Villain

First off, sorry the pictures aren't amazing. It has been rainy and cloudy for the past couple days. I haven't found the best place to take pictures in my house so I tried to make my own light-box. It involved white paper and scotch tape, very fancy lol!!
Below I have a polish from a newer indie polish maker. Maisie Shine Villain is a black base with silver, black and purple glitter. This is one coat over Man Glaze Carbon. The polish went on smooth and I didn't have any problems with the glitter. It did dry pretty quickly (which if you read on a regular basis is a big plus for me). It didn't dry super shiny. Again this doesn't bother me. I topped it with a coat of Gelous and SV.

Below I have the awesome Nawsome Sauce from ManGlaze. It is a dark green matte. I love this brand (as I've said before). Of course it dries fast (I was a little excited and still smudged it a bit trying to eat some cereal). Take it in people!! You can check them out here and buy them here.

I have most of their polishes so more swatches to come.

Opposites Attract

I recently did a little layering combo. We have Lacquistry Lake Placid on Acid, a green/teal/blue glitter bomb over ManGlaze Ilf. Ilf is a light matte teal.

I love both of these colors. The only problem I had was that they turned my nails YELLOW!! Now part of it was my fault. I happen to not have used a base coat that day. Oh well!

Not in the greatest mood today. I feel like shit and I'm running on 0 sleep...Is it May yet so I can graduate?

I'm loving ManGlaze right now! An entire collection of matte...awesome. Also the art on the bottles are a nice touch.

Fuggen' Ugly= A grey matte...but wait...can you see the slight shimmer in the picture with flash

I totally retouched my cuticles in iPhoto...they were pretty bad. Ok, I'm going to go take a nap and then study.
