OPI Fly

OPI Fly came out in the Nicki Minja collection earlier this year. It is a lighter teal creme. This is the only polish I got from the collection. I really enjoy it! Perfect for this time of year. I used three thinner coats and topped it with Out The Door. I still smudged it a bit, go figure!

OPI: A-Taupe The Space Needle

I have been trying so hard to post everyday. I apologize for days that I don't. I was sick the past few days and just didn't have the energy. A lovely sinus infection. I love Iowa and all the allergies it gives me :(

Oh, fall collections. I'm getting excited for quite a few. A-Taupe The Space Needle is from the OPI Touring America Collection. I only ordered six from the collection. Not all of them called my name. I don't have many colors in the brown family as to me this seems to be a lighter brown.
Formula was great. Perfect consistency and I always love OPI's brush. I used two coats and topped with SV. This isn't the best manicure I've ever done. I did it kind of fast.

Kleancolor Metallic Black With A Little Spark-tacular

Do you guys have a love/hate relationship with glitter? I know I do...I love to wear it but hate to take it off...yes even with the foil method. Alright, below we have 1 coat of Kleancolor Metallic Black. It was very opaque (duh! I only needed 1 coat) but it did dry a little sticky. I topped my pointer and middle finger with Sephora by OPI Spark-tacular.

As you can see above, Spark-tacular is a variety of color, shapes and sizes. I can't wait to layer this over some other polishes! I think everyone should check this polish out.

OPI Mermaid Tears

Drool....So when I first saw the Pirates collection from OPI, I didn't think it was going to be anything special. I still picked up two colors and the silver shatter. This one is Mermaid Tears.
It is a soft pastel sage green with a cream finish. I love this color!! I'm a sucker for creams anyways...I think this will get many wears this summer!
I plan on putting the swatch of the other color I got tonight. The silver shatter is the first I own from OPI. We'll see how it compares to the China Glaze shatters.

OPI My Private Jet

I finally got my hands on OPI My Private Jet. Unfortunately it is not the original holo. I still wanted it though. It's supposed to be a brown/charcoal holo. The newer version doesn't really have a holo effect like I said. It's still pretty cool!!!
Maybe someday I'll splurge and get the original version.

An Oldie But A Goodie....And A Tiny Rant

I know, I know. This is an older OPI color. Suzi Says Feng Shui came out in the Hong Kong collection for spring 2010. I didn't receive this until this past Christmas. Yes, I am just now wearing it. I LOVE it!! It's somewhat of a dusty blue and is a tad more muted in person. This is two coats topped with Seche Vite.

Ok, and now onto the rant. I didn't post anything the past couple days because I put on Nfu-Oh 52 on April 15th. We all know that I have solar nails on because my real nails suck. Well I went to take off 52 and it would not come off!!! I worked all weekend with stained, ugly nails. I tried non-acetone and acetone. When I went to get my nails done, the tech couldn't get it off either!! They had to file it off:( I learned my lesson though...I will only layer this over another color! It was pretty though. It was a crappy, quick manicure that didn't deserve a picture lol.

DROOL......

This manicure makes me drool.....Two coats of OPI Lincoln Park After Dark. I then topped it with Nubar 2010 (which is a clearer flaky polish), then Seche Vite to seal the deal. Okay picture time. I took a bunch to capture all the colors. There's orange, green, yellow and I've seen a touch of red

So what does everyone think? I can't wait to try this over other colors. You can order yourself your own flaky polish over HERE. I think I received free shipping and my package came within a couple days.

I Feel Like I Have Faded Purple Skinny Jeans On My Nails

I have another wonderful color from OPI Suede Collection. Lincoln Park After Dark is a great color (Of course there is the normal formula also). One thing I love about this collection is that it dries so fast!! I used two coats and topped it with Seche Vite. Before the top coat it does look like jean material. Overall, this is a great polish and if I come across anymore colors from the suede collection, I might just have to snag them up!

On another note, I finally caved and bought a few colors from the China Glaze OMG collection. Of course I had to purchase them on Ebay. I ordered DV8, LOL, and QT. The prices were reasonable. I can't wait to receive them and swatch them for you. Also might do a comparison between OMG and Tronica.

Mmm Mmm Sparkle-iscious

This color came out with the OPI Burlesque collection that came out over the holidays. It is called Sparkle-iscious!!!

Isn't this such a great color? Very simple with just blue, purple and gold sparkles. The combination though makes the color really pop!

Of course it was a pain to take off, but most glitters are. Sorry for the short post.

I Hate Febuary

I don't think I've had so many things go wrong in one month!!! The good news is that I got a ton of new polish and China Glaze Crackle Collection came out!!!! Yay!!!!!!! I bought all six colors.
Here I have on San Tan-tonio from the OPI Texas Collection. I was surprised I liked this color. Nudes colors make me a little nervous. This one was great with my skin tone and 2 coats to be opaque.
So I wore the color alone for half a day and then......

I added Fault Line form China Glaze Crackle Collection. I love love love this stuff!!!!
It cracked just perfect and it dried fast. I've also used Cracked Concrete (pictures to come) and I can't wait to try the rest!!

I'm A Gleek!

So while I was on a recent Sephora trip I saw the Sephora by OPI Glee collection. Yep I scooped them all up! Here I have on Who Let The Dorks Out. Great formula, on the thinner side which I actually like. So this is with 2 coats and topped with Seche Vite. I wanted to use my China Glaze fast forward but it spilled out of the bottle:(

Sephora by OPI also came out with a ballerina collection that I ordered online. Excited for that!

Nails From the Past Few Weeks...

Whoa, sorry so long!!! Vacation and work kept me very busy. I always told myself that I would not go this long again without doing a post. Crap. Also school starts on Monday. Wish me luck!!!!!!! After this year I will be married and an RN! Oh, Vegas wedding!!

This is OPI Jade is the New Black. I wore this the entire time I was in Colorado. I know I'm a little behind on getting this color. It came out in the OPI Hong Kong collection. I'm glad I finally did. This color is fantastic. It has made me realize I love cream finishes for my polish.

This is Orly Royal Navy. Sorry the picture sucks. It doesn't even touch how awesome this color is. I looks like a cream but if you look closely it has tiny, tiny glitter. I love it. It's one of my favorite blues. I received many comments while I was wearing this.

I like this glitter purple. C-C-Courage by China Glaze from the Wizard of Oz collection. I like this color but I like Ruby Pumps and Dorothy Who from the collection better. I took a couple pictures to try to get the true color. Bare with me, I'm still trying to find the perfect light.

What I'm wearing today.......

I put China Glaze Atlantis on my left hand thumb and on my right hand pinkey (its the super sparkly one). I think the glitter in this is insane!! On the other fingers I put China Glaze Four Leaf Clover. Its more green in person.

So I won't be able to wear finger nail polish on Monday's and Tuesday's because of clinicals, but the other days are free game!!! I had a huge order from Transdesign.com, so I have a ton of polish to try on. Also I have another order coming with the new China Glaze Awakening collection. Super excited!!! I also ordered the China Glaze matte topcoat and the Seche Vite top coat. I've been using the Sally Hansen Instant Dry topcoat. I've been hearing so much on Seche so why not!!!

If you can't tell, I wear fake nails. I'm trying to decide if I want to try and work with my real nails.....they suck...super thin and break easily. Any suggestions??
